kkarlsen
So, the build is nearing it's painting stage... I had some trouble getting the 'flat' cowling panels how I wanted them, but I think they are OK now. I Next up was to get some 'carts' done, these are different from the ones supplied in the kit. The cart wheels and other parts have been 'duplicated'. This is my favorite part, getting to 'scratch' some parts for a build, without it getting too 'hairy'. One cart assembled. And... it fits the float! A nice photo of a Pilot/Naval Officer. Any suggestions to a producer doing something like this figure? jimbo
Wow what a cool subject Kent! Love the scheme, with the Danish flag tucked under the horizontal stabilizer. Which are you thinking - the early grey or later silver dope? Re: figures, I feel for sure I have seen a figure in just such a pose as your example photo. ICM perhaps? Love how non-chalant he is with the propeller whirring away mere feet from his head! Thanks for sharing your always-inspiring work. jimbo kkarlsen

There was never really any doubt about the scheme, I'm going with the early sea grey. I'm not completely sure how long they were painted silver? My guess is, it was only for at short period? And how many? The Brandenburg's seemed to have been haunted by accidents especially 1927-1929... I did ask Dave at Wingnut Wings, if they would sell the Collishaw figure only, but no such luck... And I'm not going to buy the Sopwith Tripe kit just to get the figure. I would be very grateful if someone would sell me the Collishaw figure Kent Kagemusha
