LSP_K2
Stabs now firmly anchored in position, just needing some minor filler here and there (as soon as I find it). The leather padding installed behind the pilot’s head is actually designed correctly, hanging under the fuselage a bit as per the original. LSP_K2
Prop blades and spinner look OK out of box to me, shape-wise, so after a wee bit of cleanup, I'll start spritzing some paint on (now that I actually know how to paint them). LSP_K2
For me, the really good thing about taking in progress photos, is finding boo boo's before the model gets to the contest table. Apparently the headrest gizmo has uneven bottoms, so gave a distinct list to the starboard side. I have now corrected this. LSP_K2
OK, fellas, I'm about 99.95% ready to shoot some primer on the fuselage, hopefully this week sometime. The primer will certainly help me to see what needs to be done to reclaim/recreate some detail that was sanded off. I've been somewhat distracted by a car model that I'm also currently working on, but I certainly haven't forgotten about this baby, and it will be done by September, guaranteed. LSP_K2
I no sooner went to put primer on this thing when I discovered that my "go-to" primer, Testors sandable lacquer, had gone AWOL, so I ordered some more. Now that they've arrived, I can finally spritz some primer on this baby. Alain Gadbois, dennismcc and Uncarina
LSP_K2
OK, after a thorough wipe-down with alcohol, fuselage has now finally been given the long awaited (by me) lacquer primer. Naturally enough some goobers were revealed, but I pretty much expected that. Now I can much more easily see where to scribe and re-rivet, then it’s on to the wings and paint, something I’m really looking forward to. rafju, Gazzas, MikeMaben and 8 others
