By the time the A-3 came long, 74/75/76 was the standard.  There is some thought that some very early A-0 and A-1 were completed in 70/02, but I have not seen any convincing evidence of that.  70/71 was long gone by that time as a fighter scheme.

Thanks a lot Jennings

Here is a photo of Faber's A-3 taken after it landed in error at RAF Pembrey, 23 June 1942...

The RAF Intelligence Report described the colors as dark green, light olive green and pale blue, consistent with 71/02/65.

Here is a photo of a piece of the port side fuselage piece of an A-2.  The item was recovered from a crash site and is in the possession of Jerry Crandall.

According to Crandall,  the colors are RLM 02 and RLM 71 on the outside and the inside is RLM 66.

Thanks to all for their contributions

The reason for asking this question is the modeling of Turkish 190Aa3s with different camouflages. There are two different schemes in turkish 190Aa3 due to turkish modellers choice.

Standart 75/74/76

And 71/02/65

Turkey received all of FW 190Aa3 in 1943.

I couldn't make sense of the different colors of the planes taken in the same year. That s why I have mentioned different production facilities.

Turkey received 72 Fw 190Aa-3 aircraft which were constructed between August 1942 and June 1943.  Certainly by August of 1942 the use of 74/75/76 schemes would have been standardized for several months.  So it is almost a certainty that these aircraft were received in the mid war gray scheme.

Yes Thanks.

I am agree with you regarding manufacturing and delivering period.

Tolga,

Is there any update about the Turkish A-3s buried at Kayseri airfield?

It is a fascinating story, but there is no evidence of findings: is there an excavation/restoration project in place? Maybe there might be some recent news on local media.

Thx for letting us know!

Hi Stefano

These rumors are completely unreal.  No findings on this subject.

Awww! Too bad it is just a rumor! Dreaming it was true!

I would have come digging bare hands one of those.

In fact the story is really unlogical. But if it was true it will be very exciting and sensational

By the way, I am preparing myself to TuAF Fw 190Aa3 project.
