Phantom2
Yes, this is a really nice, well detailed and fun little kit! I have the Bucker, the Gladdy and the Rata too and will get the Stearman as soon as I can get it and I will buy every one of these kits they make! ICM have really hit the sweet-spot with these kits, well made, well detailed kits to a really good price. There´s a lot of small trainers and other aircrafts that are needed to be kitted in our scale. It will be exciting to see what comes next! Cheers! Phantom2
Hi all! The ”power-egg” painted and ready for assembly…. The engine assembled…. The shutter is movable! The model is primed with Alclad Black Microfiller…. I bought a set with exhausts in resin, to the left in the pic…. …as You can see there were all those small metal gaskets (?) included… …But I had already painted everything, inside and out, DOH! Well, I had to scrape and sand the paint off so I could glue all the small parts in place… …and I had to enlarge the holes slightly… I glued the cowling plates to the engine front, I´ll have to repaint it all anyway…. The fit were more then perfect! More to come soon! Stefan Edited May 25, 2020 by Phantom2 Dany Boy, Dpgsbody55, BradG and 6 others

Phantom2
Hi all! Top wing assembled and I have glued the struts to the wing…. Before the glue set I taped the top wing in place so I could get the struts at the correct angle… Easy job, the fit is perfect and the wing just snapped in place, just had to nudge the struts in place…. Some tape to hold everything in the correct position… Now the struts are set at the correct angle… Underside painted with WEM WWII VVS Underside Blue and masked before I remembered to get a photo! More to come soon! Stefan Edited May 26, 2020 by Phantom2 dutik, Dpgsbody55, Landrotten Highlander and 10 others
Troy Molitor
Looking great Stefan. I think this kit is the easiest biplane anyone could ever put together. ICM did a great design job on the strut to wing fit. I just dug mine out of storage to take a look at it and it suffered a little damage in the shipment from Singapore back to California and I’m glad I purchased the brass landing gear set for this aircraft. This is what snapped off in transit. Oh well. . Out2gtcha
Phantom2
Hi Troy! Yes, this is easily the easiest bipe I have built so far (haven´t built that many, tough...). ICM have put a lot of tought in the assembly in this kit, and the fit is stellar, It has been an easy and fun build so far. Cheers! Stefan

Phantom2
Damn! The kit is almost done, only a few more days, but I´m lagging down with the write-down! Ah, well.... Please move to the WIP section! That so typical Russian Green are laid down, WEM WWII AMT-4 Russian Green; The poweregg then painted with WEM WWII Russian Underside blue, and I have started to mask for the cammo; The top wing primed with Alclad Black Microfiller; I masked the cammo with rolled sausages of masking putty and tape, painted and removed the masking before I even rememberd to take som pics, DOH! Phantom2
Hi All! The smaller outlets are glued from the inside…. They will interfere with the lip on the wing so some have to be cut away. The power-egg painted…. I was very skeptical to this spindly landing gear, will it hold the model? Exhausts glued to the engine cowl…. More to come soon…. Phantom2
Hi All! Top wing painted WEM WWII VVS Underside Blue…. ….Top side painted WEM WWII VVS AMT-4 Russian Green… I masked the cammo with rolls of masking-putty(?)… Time to rig the thing, my ”tools of the trade”…. First I cut a small, thin piece of plasticard rod (it must be of smaller diameter then the hole,!) and glue the rod on to the tread…. Next step is to get the tread trough the hole, here I could do it from the inside of the fuselage. If I can´t access the hole from the inside I have to get the ”anchor” trough the hole from the outside. …trough the wing and secure temporarily with a small piece of tape…. …the front wires are double… Repeat until all wires are treaded and secured with tape… …more to come soon! RadBaron
Really nice work! I used the same aftermarket as you, and thoroughly enjoyed the build!
Dpgsbody55
Great progress, and glad to see this model being finished. I like you're rigging method, too. Cheers, Michael
