dennismcc
That's really nice precision work there, shame about the upside down bits, though you sound like that's well in hand. Cheers Dennis mozart

Cheers Dennis Yes thanks Dennis, all sorted now and attempting the firebird symbol on the fin. It looks from the one photograph to be a simplified version of many that I’ve seen. 11 hours ago, monthebiff said: All looking rather good Max, nice recovery on the serial masking as well. Regards. Andy After a slight hiatus Andy, and an “unofficial” flight yesterday which caused some Cat. A damage all’s back on track! 11 hours ago, leitch said: Will be referencing this build when my kit arrives. Andy Hope it’s useful Andy, it’s a super kit! These inter-war period planes really give me a buzz! Out2gtcha and Lothar

No, he’s trying to cultivate the “dashing hero” look including growing a moustache, but without much success! Uncarina
By jove, he does look like he got a haircut, unless it just looks that way from the prop wash! Great work Max. Cheers, Tom mozart
mozart
Working on the wing gun pods today, I opened out what I assumed to be the shell ejector holes and by reference to drawings and pictures placed the pods so that the side opening is on the outboard side. The guns are the brass ones intended for the Lancaster: I re-painted the rudder, not happy with the finish but it's now in place. To each rudder horn I added a 0.8mm nut as an attachment point for the cables - not quite as the actual plane but near enough. The cables are fine nickel silver wire, to be trimmed when the CA is firmly set: Edited January 4, 2020 by mozart Alain Gadbois, Fanes, Uncarina and 4 others
mozart
As a bit of a post script, this arrived in the post today.....possibly the most useful reference book in my library for my future builds: The contents: and a couple of examples of what's in there: 56 Squadron Gloster Gauntlets, the preceder of the Gladiator: Granger drawings for most: Colour plates of squadron markings: and this little "gem": which gives me carte blanche for my build!
