How to - Scribing Panel Lines

Recommended Posts

Interesting thread on scribing. I have a question regarding adding thin glue to the scribed panel line. Why do you add this step? Doesn’t it fill the line you just scribed? Do you finish with more sanding after the glue is applied? I am going to be scribing a 1/32 HASEGAWA P-51 Mustang and would like to get the best possible finish before paint is applied.

Thanks for the help,

Jim

Sorry Jim for such a late reply. I add thin glue to smooth out the panel line. It won`t fill the line, no worries. I finish it with more sanding (1000 grit and finer) after glue dries. Hope the Mustang is coming along well!
