thierry laurent
Hi, Has anybody looked at the possibility to use the canopy parts of the new kit to replace the wrongly shaped part of the old one? I prefer that solution rather than a vac part. As far as I know the canopy did not really change. Am I wrong? Thierry
Dave Roof
You have to modify most of the forward fuselage of the AH-1W kit regardless. The dimensions are completely off from the engines forward.
thierry laurent
Thanks Dave. Accordingly, do you think it is possible to merge both kits to get a better Whisky even if this implies some heavy surgery?

No, while based on the Whiskey airframe, the Zulu is a completely different aircraft. The only section that would be usable from the Z is the fuselage immediately surrounding the cockpit glass. It simply isn't worth the trouble. thierry laurent
