Great to have your advice and knowledge nearby...hugely appreciate your help! Yup, email and photos arrived Iain! Thanks Jenshb I found an interesting discussion over on BM about the kit and RAF Phantoms in general. I'm feeling the urge to start, but I just have to decide on a scheme/Airframe now??? jenshb
My vote is for Black Mike. Because it is glossy black, cool, and I had my picture taken sitting in the cockpit:) Anthony in NZ
Chek
Black Mike is a pretty cool scheme, but I wish they'd change that daft lightning bolt on the nose to more like the one they used in Phantom operational squadron days. jenshb
I remember asking the crew what the meaning of the three triangles on the air intake was, but didn't get a straight answer. Does anyone know?
Chek
It related to the mod state, but afraid I can't remember which ones.
Anthony in NZ
I'm leaning toward this one XV433 But a RN FG.1 is starting to appeal..... Lothar, Starfighter, Derek B and 3 others

Iain
If I ever get the chance/get around to it I *really* want to do an Ark Royal FG.1 - poised ready for a cat launch... But if I were to do an RAF one - would have to be XT914 'Z' of 74 Sqn - the RAF's last display Phantom from 1992. The navigator - then Flt Lt (now Group Captain) Mark 'Manners' Manwaring - is the Chairman of the RAFFCA Flying Club at RAF Halton where I learned to fly, so know Mark quite well. Interesting, not only for being the last display aircraft, but it carried the markings of both 'the Tigers' and 'the Firebirds' - the last two units to operate the Spey Phantom. At some point before I lose all my faculties I will have to build one of these though why there isn't a model of an RAF FGR is a mystery to me.
