Is this Chinese or Japanese?

Around the world for children.  It was a 1988 United 747SP record setting flight (with Clay Lacy at the controls) that took off from Boeing Field in Seattle, stopped in Athens, then on to Taipei, then back to KBFI.  It raised money for children's charities.  Clay Lacy said the record (just over 36 hours) would stand for years.  It stood for two months before being broken by a Gulfstream G.IV...
