109
Hi, I want to do some alu chipping by brush. I have enemals from Revell and Humbrol but I am not happy with them. What paint are you using for alu chipping by brush? TIA, Bernd.
1to1scale
Best bet would be to try something you can remove if not happy. 109
109
Well, but it has to stick at the end. Thanks for your input :-)

Juggernut
I use the old Testors's chrome silver enamel in the little square bottle if I'm doing it by hand. Otherwise it's an Alclad II base followed by color coats and masking tape (or AK/Ammo) chipping fluid between the Alclad and color coats; then chipped per instructions on the bottle. I also use a silver Prismacolor pencil for more delicate chipping. Edited October 6, 2019 by Juggernut Autospell errors 109

Woody V
I know you already made your decision but Windsor and Newton silver ink is another good choice. It's thin and brushes perfectly right out of the bottle. 109

I add a drop of acrylic silver paint to make it water proof. The white ink is great, too and water proof from the bottle. So thanks for your hint! :-) Woody V
