John1
Looks like the Collings Foundation lost their B-17 this AM at Bradley Airport in CT. From the initial pics, it looks pretty grim. Hope the crew got out ok. Just saw this aircraft in Plymouth, MA a couple of weeks ago. She was immaculately restored. Huge loss..... Out2gtcha
Indeed..................this one looks bad. From first initial pics this one does not look like its going to be salvageable. Hoping the crew got out R Palimaka and LSP_Matt
R Palimaka
That looks horrific. I hope there were no casualties, but no, that does not look like there will be much to salvage. Terrible news. Richard Out2gtcha

Brett M
Sounds like 6 injuries so far, all at hospitals though. No fatalities mentioned. One of the reports stated it hit the fuel farm/fuel truck.... Out2gtcha

John1
Horrible. Those poor passengers were on the flight of a lifetime. Typically, Collings offers 30 minute rides on their -17 and -24 when they do their nationwide tours. I’ve had a couple of friends go up, they loved it. I’m guessing those days are over. LSP_Ray
I've flown on it, too. Simply horrible.
Sabre F-86
I expect the papers will be full of people demanding all warplanes in private hands be put in museums and never be allowed to fly again. My thoughts are with the families of those who died. They were doing what they enjoyed and I'm sure the pilots did their darndest to bring her home again.
