New kit announcement reactions

Honestly,

Really only one thing truly, TRULY bugs the @#$% out of me:

When people take to bashing a new kit before anyone even has their hands on it. Without fail, it happens every single time around when a new kit gets announced w/pics.

Looking at pics and discussing possible issues with the kit from pictures is fine, but it never ends up like that. It always ends with what feels like people trying to find any little nuance wrong with it to steal excitement away from others like a joy-vampire.

Ive commented on, and see no problem with anyone commenting on pics of a kit no one has yet...............but there seems a select few who relish announcing how bad the kit will be, and what corrections it will need before a single copy is ever released to anyone. It gets seriously old.

  • People should ignore the faults and just build it.
  • People should be happy about any new kit.
  • People should like everything the way I like everything.
  • People pointing out errors will be the death of the hobby.
  • People should stop calling kits "unbuildable*".

Please note that the above comments invariably come from the "Just-Build-It Crowd", and are always directed at other people - not the kit in question.

* The term "unbuildable" is only used by those complaining about other people.
