Recommended Posts

Wow, that a very unusual subject! Actually not one Ive heard of before. We are getting closer to one of my faves, in the Yak-28 however.    Looking forward to seeing how this one comes out!

I remember building the Revell Yak-25 in the sixties. I painted the pill-like radar nose in a glorious glossy black. I don't know which paint it was but it never cured! :BANGHEAD2:

Wait....are you sure you used paint?.......wasn't it black shoe polish??

Just kidding, know about those paints back then, as well as the type of glue used (very thick and yellowish)  ;)

More like tar! We didn’t have model paints back then, just used anything at hand.

I remember using the same black paint on the cowling of my Lindberg ‘Jap Zero’. Looked very good as long as you didn’t touch it

I also hope the Yak-28 is following... as I would get that one immediately! The wingspan is very close but the pointy nose gives a 25% longer fuselage.

Yes, me too. Ive always liked the swept back super pointy look of the Yak 28!  Id have to say, a 1/32nd Yak-28 would get my wallet cracking for sure.
