How did I miss that?  And yes, Richard of Toms Modelworks will have a few on hand in Chattanooga at the Toms Modelworks booth.

Well here you go, in 1/24 and 1/32 scales, Model Monkey is pleased to announce hollow Merlin engine exhausts for Spitfires, Seafires, Hurricanes and Sea Hurricanes have been added to the catalog. The exhausts are early Merlin engine "orange slice"-type, appropriate for Spitfire Mk. I, Mk.II, Mk.V and Mk.VI; Seafire Mk.Ib; and Hurricanes and Sea Hurricanes Mk. I, Mk. II and Mk.XII. The exhausts are 3D-printed in gray resin.

Also available at Chattanooga, and online, are K-14 / Mk.18 gunsights for P-51, P-47, F6F and F4U aircraft, in 1/24 and 1/32 scales.  Photos below.

Well, there's two months of my meager modeling budget spoken for... ;)

Can't wait! :)

Looking forward to seeing your 1/24 Mustang wheel wells!

That will save hours of work and fiddling for anyone building that classic but still very worthwhile kit. I've already started preparing another build in anticipation of purchasing all your Mustang parts.

Thanks so much!

Richard

Might we see a set of 32nd Spitfire fishtails slipped in as a surprise...  I have some aftermarket ones and they are all varying sizes, it is so frustrating.  It's to go in my Tamiya MkIX to MkVc conversion.  The opening is the same for early and late engines.  I should start a build thread as I have made many of the changes already including the wings.

However this 24th Mustang stuff has me wondering about a future build...… Might look good next to my Postwar Mosquito:hmmm:.  Need to check what else is out there to help this (me) kit out.

Might have to re-read your Mustang project again Richard!

Cheers guys

Have to agree that a RNZAF Mustang would look fabulous beside the Mosquito...

Having seen your jaw-dropping Mosquito detail work, the Mustang would be much easier...plus it has only one engine. :D All the ModelMonkey parts would save many hours of work and frustration...seriously.

I should get a commission for pushing these Mustang parts lol.

Finish that Mosquito first though.

LOL, you should! Well once I have this 48th Mosquito kit out the way for the fund raising for the Mosquito restoration I can crack on again with the 24th one!

Thanks for your compliments on my Mosquito, big praise indeed coming from you

Thank goodness we have companies like Modelmonkey there to help us out

Cheers

Anthony
