spacewolf
Hey all you 109 experten ... an odd question. This old Aurora kit... what would be the closest mark to what is depicted on the box ? An f or early G ? or is it a fanciful mashup ? Out2gtcha
nmayhew
it's a fanciful mashup wing 20mm on a F type nose...I think it was only Adolf Galland's that had that as a special set-up keep it as a reminder of old times, but I certainly wouldn't build it life's too short to build old rubbish spacewolf
dodgem37
Could you take a picture of the contents so I can reminisce? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark spacewolf
Troy Molitor
Wow. I remember that kit sitting on a bike \hobby shop in my home town in Wiscony. Those old kits have a following all their own. I had a neighbor when I lived in California that loved to buy these old kits just to check out what they looked like and reminisce. To each his own. Looks like an early G-2, G-4 fuselage with a hybrid MG 151 armed wing. It still looks way better than that Spanish built Merlin powered mule post war beast. Lol. D.B. spacewolf
Thanks all for the replies ! Sorry but I don't have the kit, just snagged a pic off the internet for ref. I'm toying with the idea of doing this up in 1/32 as a Aurora tribute. Got a Trumpy G-2 that might look good in this paint scheme. chrish
Wowzers! I built that kit as a kid.....wonder what happened to it....I’m thinking now the box may be more accurate...and easier to build than the kit? still, I remember it being fun, it probably hung from the ceiling until the tape let go and dive bombed the cat. Troy Molitor
The numerous bullet holes in the bottom of the wing is a classic artistic rendition. Almost as cool as the six cannon winged Spitfire blasting away at the poor fellow who just wants to jump out and live to fight another day. D.B. mpk
It is a fantasy. Look at the canopy and wing guns. Edited August 4, 2019 by mpk spacewolf
MikeMaben
It's not that far away from a G-2. The boxart was cooler that the kit. MikeC, spacewolf, chrish and 1 other

thierry laurent
The wing tips, flat spinner, weird nose bulge, guns location, protruding exhausts... Ouch ! spacewolf
Troy Molitor
I’m thinking the fellows down in Spain modeled the Hispano HA 1112 after this handsome beast. chrish and spacewolf 1
