The colour scheme I chose is Red 7, captured at Leck and used by the French as an engineering test airframe

Most of the marking are home made masks on the Silhouette, the fin numbers are home print decals, unit badge actually from the kit decal sheet. Colour scheme is the 8-162 scheme applied at the Burnberg Junkers assembly plant.

Masking up to paint the rear engine cover in black. home made markings visible, fin decals not printed yet.

Gun port masked ready to paint black.  the barrels won't show on this airframe, its an A1 with short barrel MK 108 guns, not the MG 151/20 of the A2.

Hi, Bruce  Quick progress and you have done stunning work especially on pit and wheel well beautiful !!

I have a same kit and still working on it from years ago :D   Here are my study about difference of He 162 A-1 and A-2

A-1's ejection port is bigger than A-2 and located bit of outside than A-2

And I don't have pic but seat belts are little different than other prop fighters because He 162 equipped with ejection seat

I hope I'm not interrupting your thread and sorry my english:unsure:

Pics from Google and Captured Eagle Vol 1

Hi Matsu,

I used the belts I had in stock, no big deal as you can’t see them with the canopy closed.  Revell got the seat back completely wrong, back cushion too low, head rest too large but again, hardly noticeable.

I take your point about the position of the ejection ports, but too late as I decided on the colour scheme half way thru the build.  Hope you get your model out and finish it off - the Revell kit is nice and simple and looks pretty good.  I’ve started a second model using the Aires parts but that’s way down the list!

Regards,
