firefly7
just seen on Brit.mod. that KittyHawk are going to release a 1/35 Bell UH-1 Huey chopper. About time, well see. Out2gtcha
John1
Expecting nothing more than their flawed 48th kit scaled up, warts and all.
Out2gtcha
Nothing like keeping the right attitude - I believe it's all new tooling from what Glen has said PhilB and ScoobyDoo
Out2gtcha
I agree that their reputation has tarnished them for sure. And yes, I agree they have also made a lot of bad kits in the past. I have been burnt in the past by manufacturers like HpH, so I can see how someone regardless of how nice a kit seems would be hesitant to repeat that experience. Mark P
I for one am excited at the prospect of a large scale Huey. However, I will wait and let the box contents speak for themselves and weigh its pros and cons like I do with every purchase. They haven’t released this kit before so any 35th Huey from KH would be new tooling. What does that tell us regarding whether it will inherit the flaws of their 48th effort? No “right attitude” here, just basing my opinion on previous KH products.
Out2gtcha
New tooling as in not a copy of their smaller scale effort.

For the record, if they can just fix the surface details (divots and overscale features on the exterior), I'll be beyond pleased. The 48th kit has multiple other issues but all can be addressed. Given that the surface issues were brought up ever since the 48th Huey was released and then KH did the same thing on their new Blackhawk kit, I'm not overly optimistic but we'll see how things work out. Out2gtcha
The only info I have in that regard is straight from Glen of KHM. I really dont have any other details unfortunately.

That alone should be sufficient for him to finally see the light

John1
I think I read on another site that these CAD's were of the older 48th scale kit. Supposedly new ones will be released at some point.
