Seeking photos of the tail-end of 4000 lb and 8000 lb RAF "cookie"/"blockbuster" bombs

Was the end of the tail solid, a simple open drum, or something else?  Video from the Pathe film below, which may show different types of cookies (tail end of possible 4000 and/or 8000 lb bomb at 0:50  1:06 and 1:27), seems to indicate that the tail was a simple steel drum with an open aft end.  Is my understanding correct?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

Looking for information about the aft end of the tail of 4000 lb and 8000 lb bombs.  Is the tail an open drum as shown in the Pathe film?

The ones in the video are 8000lb bombs, you can tell by the openings in the tail where it meets the bomb body, the 4000lb one had a solid drum with no cut outs. This video shows the back end of the 4000lb bombs were solid:

while the 8000lb ones were open, note the cut outs as well:

and if you want, an early version of the 4000lb Cookie:

This is the tail end of the 12000lb 'Cookie' it's a hatch presumably where the explosive was loaded into during manufacture, the holes where light is coming in are so that the Armourers can get access to the bolts which join the sections together, On our kit we have included the hatch which gets completely covered by the tail cone of the 12000lb bomb but will be exposed when we have the drum tail for the 8000lb bomb.

Nice work, Graham!

A 3D-printed 8000 lb cookie is now available in 1/48 scale (click here).  Once I get through printing several orders and a set of products for sale at the IPMS nats in Chattanooga,  I'll post photos of the actual product on the vendors board.

Thanks to all for the help in confirming the open tail of the 8000 lb cookie.
