I bent more Iwata needles than I can remember since the 80s when I was a commercial artist so I feel your pain. Always have a spare on hand. Two things: When removing the nozzle, first loosen and pull the needle back until you see the tip in the cup to avoid touching the point. NEVER install the needle point first.
