I have three. All WNW:

1) Fokker DVII OAW

2) Sopwith Snipe (Late)

3) Sopwith Camel Br1

They are all still in the box, some bits painted on the sprue. I have to face the fact that I am never going to finish them. Rigging and etc.

My only real "Large" scale plane residing (probably permanently) on the shelf of doom, over 10 years now...1/32 Su 27

That's not color modulation or pre-shading...that's dust!

It's up there with a ATR 42 and a few Beech 200 King air's amongst other things.

I have no SOD... If I lose motivation and it won't do for parts, I chuck it.

My philosophy. But I broke it with the Finnish MiG-21F-13 I started in early 2005. Fourteen years is a bit extreme, but the model actually gets better every couple of years.

As Frank might have said, I'm doing it "...my waaay!"

If I work out how to post pictures here since photo kicked its bucket, I'll let you have a chuckle.

Same as most all Peter's other recent  builds, using aluminum litho sheet, burnished on the model with the help of patterns.

Take a look at Peter's P-51 "Lopes Hope" in the in progress section, he uses the same technique.

We actually have an entire 565-page eBook that covers Peter's amazing approach to working with metal:

Airshow Models (Fisher) Pitts S2B - my first attempt at an all-resin kit.  Got this far and stalled out - when I put the correct dihedral into the bottom wing, it changed the geometry just enough that the main struts don't fit. Should be simple enough to scratch up new ones, but the model was packed away when we moved house in 2017 and has yet to resurface... REALLY neat little kit.

Hasegawa P-26a that made it this far before being packed up for the house move in 2017. The box is around here somewhere... I hope.

Williams Bros. Caudron racer - started this one for the 'Blue' group build and just got tired of carving, filling and sanding. It's a fairly simple kit, just need to be in the right frame of mind to finish it.

There are some really interesting projects in this thread... at some point in the future, would it be worthwhile to have a "Clear the SOD" group build?  With the obvious suspension of the 'less than 25%' rule, it looks like there are plenty of qualifying projects out there.

Cheers!

John.
