seiran01
Wingnut Wings is bringing back the Sopwith Pup, with new announcement for a Gnome-powered version at Shizuoka this week (woo!) Has anyone seen announcements of additional new large scale planes at the show? Haven't seen any news across the various forums yet Out2gtcha and scvrobeson

spreckair
Doyusha's new tool A6M2 is news to me; nothing about in on the web in general. Does anyone have more info? It would be nice to have a decent less expensive alternative to the Tamiya kit.

The announcement has been out for a while: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10605156 However there is not much info, I have not been able to figure out if this is really a new tool kit or not. However based upon price and the photo of built kit this might be a solid basic kit at a good price. I would guess a minimalist kit vs Tamiya treatment but if the price is good it might be a real winner.

And for the more advanced modelers, they brought out a new engraving tool so you can bring out the most detail in your project."

I’m thinking this is a repop. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/swallow-3201-mitsubishi-a6m2-reisen-model-21--179376 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/doyusha-400746-zero-fighter-type-21--166785 Rick Griewski
nmayhew
WNW releasing a previously released kit and their already announced 0/400 thingy so basically nothing maybe the golden age of 1/32 is coming (has come?) to an end, and it's something we'll only realise when we look back in 10 years time... now where is my half empty glass? I need a drink! Rick Griewski and BiggTim
thierry laurent
The Doyusha Zero is a re-release of the old motorized kit. Rick Griewski
DeanKB
A Gnome powered Sopwith Pup? As much as I love Wingnut Wings, I must say that this is not something that I have been lying awake at night waiting for. But I imagine it will sell, as the old kits are OOP, so it'll swell WNW's coffers and lead to something else, so it's all good. I may even have to buy one. esarmstrong
The Gnome powered Pup is the one with the cowl that is open at the bottom like the early Nieuports, right?
