Finally got around to some more modelling.

Added a dark green wash/filter to the sidewalls as per Vincent's note and subsequent viewing of photos.

Added the pe rudder peddles and instrument panel. Instrument had a matt vanish coat over it, then the dials pe was stuck with a glass coat.

Added some wires to the pit

Decision time... should I add the belts or given this will be a straight off the production line representation leave them out?

Test fitted the canopy, all good.

Adding the scratch built parts to the open engine/fuel/undercarriage area and of course a cheeky little test with the wheels on and loaded onto the gondola.

Hy!

Nice job, but i believe that Aires is wrong on the radio box...it was done when the birds were under new US management, here it's an american device, not a Fug...(box on your left on the side plate panel)Us3clNR.jpg

Hi,  Wackyracer

Very nice going here !

tTx9xEL.jpg

This yellow 5 is one of rare pic of A-1 and one of my favorite scheme of He 162

only difference from external you can tell A-1 and A-2 is size and location of ejection ports

because  A-1  MK 108    A-2   MG151,

I hope it's help you and not too late:unsure:

Regards,

Matsu.

I'm using this as an idea. The actual plane will be a bare metal and wood version with putty.

Some of reference said this Black 27 (WN.r 300027) is A-2 but actually A-1,

Just in case,

Regard,

Matsu.

  • 3 months later...

Can I just insert a pet moan? While it's too late on this build, it may help on another.

When making up wiring looms, do NOT twist the wires into a pseudo braid.

Briefly try to imagine what a nightmare it would be to trace and repair a broken connection if they really were twisted together.

Instead, lay your wiring lengths straight, and bind them with tape or wire loop ties, just as on the real thing.

It'll look far more realistic
