I guess it must have done: Rolls-Royce used a very similar configuration on the Merlin 85 in the Lancaster VI, and the Griffon in the Shackleton.

 

Back on topic, this 88 is really coming along.  Very impressive engines in particular.

Very nice progress indeed, will you be adding any seat belts to the cockpit on this one, the HGW set is a pretty good set.

Hi All,

After seemingly endless masking I’m almost done with the painting bar a little touching up. I used mr color paints and they were really great and performed faultlessly. Gloss coat next and then a few decals before weathering.

What an unusual camouflage scheme and combination of colours, looks really effective. Well done Matt, as Kev said, it's superb.
