Any Tamiya 1/32 rumours?

I included HK because they are doing aircraft only, focusing on 1/32, and taking on riskier subjects that Tamiya won’t touch, especially in 1/32.

I agree with the conclusion about HKM doing riskier subjects. That is one of the things I appreciates about them. Having just gotten done building one of those said riskier kits, it was a fully enjoyable experience, fit and finish.

A 109 to do something innovative and give the market something we haven’t seen before.

I know you are kidding, but a Tamiya 1/32 Bf109F would have me in tears first, then my bank account would be hitting rock bottom etc etc

F6F Hellcat, 109g-6 or a FW 190 D-9 would be amazing by Tamiya. When is the next big show in Japan where they would announce something?

Addendum: those are the free public days. The trade element of Shizuoka starts earlier, so maybe we'll know what's new a few days earlier.

Aside from my Huey fetish, I’ll table an F-86 or an F6F series.  Either should be within T’s comfort zone and in theory, should have pretty broad appeal, especially the -86.

I'd put Special Hobby at the top of that list.

I want everyone to hold hands and pray for a Tamiya Mosquito B.IV!!

Honestly, I’d expect that to be their next release before an all new tool kit.

I agree.  The 109F is not one that has been offered much, especially in 1/32.  The Friedrich represented the 109 series at it's peak, too.

Cheers,

Michael

Exactly - the ultimate dogfighter (at least in the 109 series) and on top of that some awwwwwesome camo's for the F model.

Often difficult to find the Hasegawa F and the Trumpeter is not a F at all

I've heard their next 1/32 kit will be the Bf 109G, however no date as to release. Not at liberty to name source, but has proven reliable. We'll see.

I am not advocating for a 109G, but this is just what makes the most sense to me, especially when you look at the 1/48 kit and the timing of the 1/72 kit.  There is something about it, the pattern and the fact that they have not done a German WWII prop in 1/32 that makes me feel this is the one.
