Greif8
Hi guys, it has been a while since I posted. Here a some photos of my first build of the year, Hasegawa's Galland Special kit. I used an Aires cockpit and HGW seatbelts but the rest is oob. I did not heavily weather the aircraft as I thought the since Galland was both the Geschwader Kommodore of JG26 and one of the Jagdwaffe's leading aces at the time his aircraft would be kept fairly immaculate. The build turned out fairly well, though as always there is room for improvement in some areas. The Galland figure also came out decent, so overall I am satisfied enough with this build to post some photos of it here. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and please feel free to make any comments or criticisms as I am always looking for feedback to improve my skills. Cheetah11
Nice Ernest. Apart from an unusual Messerschmidt I also like the figure with the cigar. Nice touch.

John1
What's are those oval shaped fairings forward of the windscreen? Never noticed those before on any F's. Was that something unique for Galland's aircraft?

D.B. Andrus
To complement Mark's post the guns were MG 131's, which led to the cowl bumps on the G-5 through G-14. Mark P and Out2gtcha
rigor
Didn't he also have a cigar lighter installed also. In the cockpit think I read about it over on the Lemb boards I think. Nice looking build. Love the figure Edited March 9, 2019 by rigor

AceofClubs
Very nice. Smocking is dangerous but not for the Kommodore! Ciao F
Lud13
Nice Messer. I have the same kit but the decals in mine have almost cream color instead of white. Did You use kit decals or from some other manufacturer ?
