Dandiego
Paint!!! I have applied the gull grey topcoat. I seem to have applied it a little heavier than I wanted because the preshading has all but disappeared. Oh well. I am not going to touch this for a week as I have a terrible habit of leaving fingerprints everywhere. When I do get back to it I will be masking all of the bare metal areas. If I live to be 100 I could never be half the modeler that you are. My tiny little niche is to model unusual subjects to an acceptable standard. In fact I chose this subject to gain experience with vacforms. I have one of my holy grail kits waiting in the wings. It is a very rare vac form of a very esoteric aircraft. Stay tuned. Dandiego
Well I couldn't do it, couldn't wait a week for the paint to fully dry. So I have worked on the squadron markings on the tail. Not too bad, a few touch-ups. And a self made mask for the tail code. Out2gtcha
Noice! Are those counterbalanced elevators, with the tips connected to the elevators and not the horizontal stabs? Dandiego

Dandiego
Tail markings are done, except for the serial # and that will be decal work in the near future. You can also see the "M" tailcode which I sprayed on from my homemade stencil. Dandiego
Well a little progress. Main markings have been applied. Since there are no decal sheets for this bird I have had to cobble them together from many sources. My reference photos some stenciling on the topsides and a little more on the bottom. I am just putting on stencils at random trying to capture the overall look. Once I realized that I installed the wing too high I have set my sights a little lower regarding the overall finish and detail level. It will still look like a Banshee but it will not be one of my best. However it will almost certainly be the only 1:32 Banshee on any table I put it on. Still on my life-long quest to build the perfect model. Missed it by that much. Out2gtcha
Great work Dan, and you would have had to tell me, for me to know the wing was wrong. Dandiego and MikeC
