sandbagger
Very nice build Guy - congratulations. I've just completed a WNW Camel and like you and others had problems with the decals tearing and chipping. Seems WNW decals by Cartograf are problematic recently, Mike williamj
TorbenD
Goodness me that’s an amazing finish, inside and out! Gob well and truly smacked... Torben williamj

That’s a first... Guy Was going to ask the same question. I was convinced you had done a stippling type action with a stiff paint brush! Glad to hear their approach worked so well. I think I will go in that direction myself when I do this one. Congratulations on a lovely build!

Out2gtcha
Wow TERRIFIC build guy! So basically, from reading the T&Ts on WNWs site re: the stippling, its just turning the air pressure in your regulator down enough so that the paint comes out in a "splatter" effectively? Thanks again all and yes Brian, that’s it. I thought I’d get all sorts of problems - inconsistent splatter and the odd great blob of paint but it was very consistent and, I hate to admit it, really easy to do! I thinned the paint a little and the air pressure is very low, but just takes a second of trial and error to get the setting right. It’s actually great fun. There’s a build thread over on WW1models forum if you wanted a little more detail. hope that helps, Guy Edited February 28, 2019 by Gisbod Out2gtcha
LSP_Ray
That is beautiful! That paint stippling is something else, would never think you could do that with an airbrush. The detailing looks perfect, too.
