crobinsonh
Hi, If I wanted to build this aircraft - what would I need? Is this the Block 30 aircraft and if so is it possible to buy conversion parts or sprue from Tamiya Thunderbird model? https://dnmodels.com/product/camouflage-paint-masks-f-16c-bdu-green-splinter-aggressor/
ScottsGT
Don’t think Tamiya will be any help since the Thunderbird parts were bought up years ago. Might be some aftermarket to provide what you need. Block 30 is the larger GE intake, isn’t it? T-Bird is a Block 32.
seiran01
This is a big mouth bird - Tamiya CJ kit is all you need. Two Bobs also feature this aircraft on one of their splinter aggressor sheets in 1/32 LSP_K2
ScottsGT
Isn't the landing gear and gear door different between the Block 30 and the CJ kit? I'm digging deep into my memory banks, but I think the 30 has the lighter landing gear and non-bulged gear doors?
Kirk Taylor
The F-16C Block 30 after serial number 86-0262 has the large mouth intake and lightweight landing gear. To convert the Tamiya Block 50 kit you would need the main gear doors, main landing gear legs, and wheels from the Tamiya Thunderbird Block 32 kit. crobinsonh
Brilliant - thanks for this. Going to check if any aftermarket for Academy etc did replacement UC and doors and see if I can get it that way. Best,

Durangokid
The Sprue parts P from the thunderbirds kit along with the main landing gear. I think that will give you everything you need. It may be hard to find though. Hope this helps... Bryan crobinsonh
