Hi All!

A tiny gap appeared on the topside of the right nacelle, I used some CASCO wooden glue as filler…

---but then I had This major gap on the bottom ….

My favorite method how to handle larger gaps; first fill with pieces of plasticard and then lots of liquid glue…

Not pretty…

But after a few days I can shave/cut off the excessive plastic….

…and it looks already MUCH better….

Hi All!

I glued some weapons, just to get some relaxation from the rest of the build….

I will do a ”Air-to-Ground” loadout as this was how the Frogfoot were mostly used.

This is what I will hang under the wings…

48826322476_1364ef930d_c.jpg

….and the pylons;

The odd thing in this kit is that Trumpeter missed the outermost pylon for the R-60`s, but they have included the holes for them i the wings, already opened up!

The rails and the R-60 Aphid Missiles are in the the box, tough…

Weird.....

In the box there´s also a LOT of ”Air-to-Air” weapons;

With all pylons and rails;

48826318591_d1ded9ff32_c.jpg

It´s crazy, almost half of the parts in this kit is for the weapons, pylons and rails!

The wings and fin assembled without a hitch;

More to come soon!

Hi All!

The HUD is done;

Windscreen in place;

I used a very small amount of white glue to tack the canopy in place for the moment, and masked it up with masks from Eduard;

I'm becoming more convinced that I want one of these in the stash. That 'pit looks excellent.

Thanks!

It´s a really nice kit, despite the problems I have had, many of the issues are self inflicted (Aires ´pit and exhausts), I have to admit.

Cheers!

Hi all!

The inner frames of the cockpit painted…

48997394971_d3aec11d5b_c.jpg

Sanding and filling around the nose….

49091424346_722d38713e_c.jpg

More filling around the windscreen wich were a quite a good fit despite this.

49091626207_27987bac36_c.jpg

I could get a really good fit on the big weapons hatch

49091626117_2ef3ea704c_c.jpg

These hatches were a pain to get a good fit on, small differences in thickness, not-so-good overall fit and minimal gluing surfaces made this a very fiddly job!

Much and very careful sanding gets you there….

The nose gear cover was too small!

49090911963_42d76779b8_c.jpg

The fin glued, very nice and distinct fit here, now this kit has outgrown the box it came in!

Hi all!

The IR-seeker(?) in the nose painted clear Blue and a piece of Aluminium foil glued on the back.

Some filling around the windscreen….

49138621622_ef379c82ff_c.jpg

The seeker glued to the fuselage, not-so-good fit here, i.e. some filling and sanding.

49137928793_5fa8446f90_c.jpg

The glass piece masked, all seams sanded and polished.

Wings are glued, good fit here but I had to use some weight while the glue dried.

More to come soon….
