Bill_S
I'm putting the Mossie on the back burner for now; I need a good OOB build. First impressions: this appears to be a nice kit - delicate surface details, with relatively crisp detail. I'm aware of the SNAFU with the right side console on the cockpit... You've got to love those KH half ejector pin marks... Step one is on hold til I get this one sanded and filled. Thus far, I've been really pleased with the overall fit of this kit. I did, however run into some interference when installing the starboard side ammo tray. I haven't found any mention of nose weight in the instructions yet. Now is the time to start planning. I'm filling the ammo trays with lead shot (it will be epoxied in place); If I need it, I can fit plenty inside the forward gun bay/ landing gear compartment. If I need still more, there's space beneath the cockpit tub, too. BradG and Azgaron
themongoose
Boy I'd really be surprised if it needs that much? That said I'm going to have to follow closely so when I do mine I'm not surprised by a tail sitter lol

Bill_S
I got some painting done on the main cockpit areas. I figured I'd try the easy way out and use the kit decals for the consoles... They actually look worse to the naked eye than to the camera lens. Off they come... BradG, LSP_Kevin, Azgaron and 1 other
themongoose
Wow that did not go well. Thanks for saving me the time of trying the same thing though they look ok on the sheet. Dang shame they don’t apply well. Bill_S
Bill_S
I got the ammo boxes stuffed with lead; the front end is complete. I'm leaving the nose gear for later. I'm not adding any detail to the engines; a coat of paint is all that's warranted. But the intakes... All you'll see is the boxes for the gear bays. Something's got to be done here - but I refuse to scratch intakes. The design of this kit is such that the upper wing can be cemented in place prior to assembling the fuselage top and bottom. It let me apply good pressure while the glue set. Not perfect, but filling and sanding should be minimal. LSP_Ray
Nice progress. I cant believe the intakes, or lack thereof! Bill_S

Bill_S
I opted for something simple - just to get rid of the internal boxes. Some 0.010" (.25mm) sheet stock... The end result (hard to see in the photo) is acceptable. Now on to the cockpit... BradG, Azgaron, LSP_Kevin and 2 others
