Modern RAF Weapons

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, anybody know of a source of some of the modern RAF weapons carried by the Tornado GR4 and the Typhoon? Specifically the later Paveway 3 & 4 LGBs and the Brimstone Missile. Thanks.

The AMS Paveways, as nice as they are, are Paveway II's. What I'm looking for is the newer Paveway III and IV 500 lb bombs. It's had to believe that no AM manufacturer has done the Brimstone Missile, as it is becoming one of the most carried weapons of the RAF.

Tony , thanks for that link , a most impressive build, especially the Brimstone launcher and weapons, it's just a pity that we have to do this in the first place!

The AMS Paveways are 1000lb Enhanced Paveways II's with GPS (as used extensively during Ellamy), I mastered those ...

Isn't the Brimstone body and aero based on Hellfire, so maybe there are some 1/35 Hellfire's out there? Hopefully the upcoming Academy AH-1Z will have some.

Cheers,

Marcel

Perhaps the Italeri Tornado will come with a wide selection of weapons.

I'm not holding my breath atm!

Rumour control some time back said it was cancelled?

I'm afraid I don't know anymore on the real facts with the model's progress, but if it isn't, I'm also hoping for some up to date weaponry from it at some point?

I'm also hoping they might consider doing the F3 version as well.

I have a small batch of RAF Litening pods on the 3D printer at the moment, if anyone is interested, pm me. More in the pipeline, but Life continues to shackle my ankles it seems at the moment!!
