Ryan 620 Posted January 17 The spoked ones really look sharp, I can't see a lot of folks using the hub cap ones IMO. Ryan 2 jimbo and Out2gtcha reacted to this

Much better to my eye than the more traditional B-24 dust covered wheels. 1 Bill Cross reacted to this
Plm 265 Posted January 17 Quote It seems that the Hobby Boss Kit is not the good block version for the Dragon and his tail version. Dragon and his tail WWII aircraft is a B-24J-190-CO 44-40973. Hobby boss one seems to be a B-24J CF. Nose Turret is an A15 but the shape around it is not the same. There were no critics about the HB B-24 in my above post. It was just information about the KitWorld decals regarding the HB kit. Sorry if some understood it in another way. 3 Out2gtcha, D.B. Kagemusha 5,672 Posted January 17 The elephant in the room regards the True Details wheels is that they're very boxy, as are quite a few of their recent releases - P- 47D to mention a set I have - compare them with the Brassin B-17 version and period photographs. 2 nmayhew and Harold reacted to this
Pup7309 113 Posted January 18 The spoke ones look nice but I’ll have to check out if they are accurate for the kit I want to do. Also have to check out Brassin. Any word on turret fixes? Anyone started hacking into their wings? 2 Harold and alanash1963 reacted to this

thierry laurent 3,584 Posted January 22 Some of the Black Dog figures are nice but many have a stiff attitude. Moreover I do not like the fact the sculptor always "recycles" Airfix multipose heads for his figures. 1 Darren Howie reacted to this
Kevin H. 16 Posted January 22 On 1/16/2019 at 2:20 PM, Jennings Heilig said: Can’t use those on the HB kit unless their drawings are wildly inaccurate. The problem with B-24 model kits (as I have pointed out many times before) is that B-24s had literally hundreds of variations and sub-variations. When you pick one (and only one) for a model kit, you automatically eliminate about 98% of possible decal choices. If a B-24 kit were intelligently, thoughtfully designed, with lots of modularity in the molds and lots (and lots, and lots, and lots) of optional parts, you could go a long way toward doing most of them. But this is Hobby Booboo. Didn't matter to me as it will be wheels up a hanging from the garage ceiling along with the HK. B25 and Lancaster. 1 Troy Molitor reacted to this
Trak-Tor 784 Posted January 23 (edited) I've just found this: Restoring Australia's only surviving B-24 Liberator I've instantly added it to my "Must see while in Australia" list. Some interesting pictures for reference there: and more... jimbo 187 Posted January 23 Wow, awesome, thank you Juraj, always good to have more references! I can’t help but get a chuckle - does anyone else see a big slice of pizza plastered to the nose turret? Can I get a 1/32 pizza decal, might be a new way to fix the turret lol...
