Out2gtcha
BThanks Ray. Fortunately the way I plan on doing it is to have the green spots up higher up on the sides of the fuse, so hopefully it will be a bit easier without having to deal with the wing root/wing to fuse transition. Dave J
I did mine free hand... Its a pretty easy camo scheme to do actually. Just work with low pressure and build it up. Excuse the old image! I do need to take a better one that isn't hosted on Photobucket! Edited January 15, 2019 by Dave J BiggTim, LSP_Ray, D.B. LSP_Kevin
Nice work, Dave! That's only easy to do if your hand doesn't shake around like a frog in a blender. Like mine. Kev Padraic Conway, Out2gtcha, BiggTim and 1 other 2
seiran01
I would do it totally freehand with my airbrush. I find I'm better doing that tedious work more than I am fussing about with a template Out2gtcha and BiggTim
Grant_T
I'd freehand too, partly because I figure that's the best way to get better at it. Incidentally, I have the ZM Do-335 and my intention was to do that in a late war mottle what if. Can't wait to see how yours turns out. Rick Griewski
Free hand with some practice. Play with the paint and pressure along the way. Rick BiggTim
Collin
How I tackled it. Freehand thinned paint and patience. Go for it!! Cheers Collin BiggTim and Out2gtcha

LSP_Ron
I'd do it over a fine single malt scotch myself Free hand is the way to go. No need to advise on tips as they have been well covered. BiggTim

LSP_K2
Thin paint, moderate pressure and fine tip, you should be just fine, Brian. If I can do it in 1:48, you, with the abilities you have, can most certainly do it in 1:32. BiggTim and Out2gtcha

This is where a kneadable or vinyl eraser comes in extraordinarily handy. Out2gtcha and BiggTim
Out2gtcha
I'm thinking if I choose colored pencil very close to the green of the spots, and try to lay down the pencil marks as lightly as I possibly can without being imperceptible, I think I might be able to do it to my satisfaction that way. Gerhard
For mottled camo I use this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Airwaves-AEMM503-1-32-Luftwaffe-WWII-Fighter-Mottle-Mask-Bf-109-Fw-190-etc/372565925829?epid=28012034312&hash=item56bea8dfc5:g:dtYAAOSwzTFcEqi7 Out2gtcha
