Nice,

I've done the kit in the nightfighter GB.

It's still a good kit.Just a pitty about the clear parts. Typical old Revell.

Don't know if their is a VAC for this kit.

If ever I can find the Paragon set, then I shall build it too.

Good luck.

During a lull in other projects, I started on this one. The nose is a four piece affair.

It's going to require a bit of filler.

The cockpit sidewalls have a decent sized pour stub. With curvature, I don't trust myself with the razor saw; the Dremel is out of the question too. Lots of resin dust...

Considering the age of these castings, the detail is great!

The fit into the fuselage...

Next up is the starboard side. I'm in a quandary here: do I leave the hatch closed? If I open the hatch, should I remove the hatch from the sidewall prior to sanding, or sand, then remove the hatch?

excellent detail in that set!

Open the hatch! That casting is to nice to hide.

As for the sanding, I'd remove the hatch then sand, this will allow you to keep that nice hatch detail for another project.

Shawn, I'm going for the open hatch. I decided to sand prior to hatch removal: with my luck, the hole left by removing the hatch would weaken the part enough that I'd snap it while sanding. Once I finish this built, no more Mossies for me.

A little work on this. I epoxied the nose pieces together.

I used JB Weld. Great stuff.

Next up: cutting the nose off the kit part. Cut, sand, test fit, repeat. It took a while, but I'm finally at a point where I can live with it.

Time to put the nose off to the side. Cockpit is next. More sanding and fitting.

Yep, mine too. IIRC the Paragon fighter sets all came w/vac canopies.   My Tse Tse conversion did not.

I may have a canopy in the stash I will never use.  IIRC that variant used the fighter canopy but I may have all the types.  Send me a PM
