RonGUSA Posted January 9, 2019 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Since the D came after the A the interior was cockpit green (apple green) but surfaces above the bottom of the Instrument panel were painted black that included the sides too, but the surface on the inside of the fuselage was cockpit green. Don't forget the inside of the tail wheel area is done in salmon (a orangey pink). Theres a good video build of a Tamiya F4U-1D birdcage on you tube.
