So I decided to get back to the Mistel build again and move it on somewhat, first things first I decided to get the instrument panel finished and fit to the foward nose to get a little strengh before fitting the resin parts. Airscale instrument decals were used throughout and worked perfectly.

I then fitted the lower nose resin part from the updated AIMS G-6 set followed by the nose section.

I also have the lower fuselage replacement resin part all cut and sanded to shape now which was no mean feat!

and a test fit

Plenty of work need to get some suitably decent looking panel fit/ lines but hopefully well worth the effort, I pretty well had the cockpit completed when John announced his G-6 upgrades which he kindly agreed to supply only the parts I needed for my G-10 build so would have not had these fit issues I am now needing to deal with if I had started with the new resin parts from the start of the build.

Having my own G-6 conversion stalled because of the poor fit of the lower nose piece, I envy your approach! Great job on this :-)

Its definitely a tricky area on the conversion Dennis, thats pretty well why I put mine on the back burner for so long!

Some more work done on the G-10 getting the resin parts an initial filling and sanding back session followed by finally getting the floor fitted at last

Pretty happy so far with progress and how this is starting to come together now.

So the most difficult part of the nose conversion for me is the huge vac canopy, after careful cutting initial test fit is very good.

Also looking at getting the fuselage extension fitted, I see lots of rescribing coming up on the fuselage when the nose and tail section finally come together.

Been working on completing the tail wheel bay and trying to get near the greeny/ yellow anodised finish so started with a coat of aluminium followed by Tamiya XF71 cockpit green and then clear yellow followed by a wash and some dry brushing.

Reasonably happy with the outcome and next I've decided to complete the tail section empennage and all so when I re-aquant and glue the nose and tail sections I will be able to get everything square with no nasty surprises later, well thats the theory!
