Hasegawa Ju87G Kanonenvogel - vacuforming done!!

One pod down, one to go. Believe it or not, this took me about 8 hours to do in fits and starts, given my hamfists and all those incredibly fiddly parts. Lots of cuss words, glued fingers, and long breaks to recover my perspective. How I hate little PE parts!

Looks good so far.  I snaffled the same kit and the 3.7cm barrels last year so will be watching for ideas I can steal.

Thanks! The Eduard PE certainly looks better than the kit parts, but I hope you're better with the itty bitty stuff than I am.

Excellent start Tim, those Master MG81 barrels are fiddly but worth it aren't they.

Looks fantastic, carry on!!

Yes, the MG81 barrels are incredible, as are the big 3.7cm ones from Aber.

Nery nice job on the Bk 37... They will really make the rest of the kit stand out I am sure!

Can I ask what you use to attach the metal gun barrels to the pod? Epoxy? Cyano glue?

Mark Proulx

I used thick CA, Mark, then a dab of thin around the joint to fill it in.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have the same kit and although Rudel's look fantastic in winter wash, I will be avoiding that bastards plane. There are several other well documented kanonenboot's. A friend of mine found data for another ace in the 87G but unfortunately no picture. Think I will be doing that one anyway. I'm traveling now, so dont have access to the info, but if you are interested I can find it when I come home later this week...
