A little progress on the Aeromarine.

 

Started getting my head around how to tackle the wings..

Lower and middle wings ditto.Trying to figure out where to cut to get the extra feet of wing with...

Creating a master for the larger wings struts. I'm planning to cast resin copy's with a 1 mm brass rod in the middle, to add some strength to the struts.

Btw. came across a very nice photo of the F-5-L - Large enough to see some nice rigging details...

But you need to extend BOTH the span and chord, right ??.

 

Span would be (sorta) ok to do, but I am really looking forward to seeing what you dream up for the chord... I suppose cutting along the thickest part of the wing - where the tangent to the surface is horizontal (am I beeing too much of a engineering nerd now??) - I am thinking that would be the easiest place to add a bit an being able to blend it into the rest of the wing profile
