Good morning

I have a question to BF109 experts.lately I am doing the Dragon 1/32 BF109E and my question is for the Galand's E3 sheme which according to instructions is an RLM65 and a Pale grey/RLM02 on top areas (pale grey is using the Gunze H51).

Have any idea if that particular airplane/sheme exists.

Thanks and wish to all happy 2019 full of scale modelling (and health)

There is a nice color profile of this aircraft in Kagero Vol 1 on the Bf 109 E. The caption reads:

"The aircraft carried a non-standard painting scheme. Undersides were painted in a light color, probably RLM 65, whereas the upper sides in another light shade, RLM 02 or an unknown, non-standard, mixed paint of grey or blue-grey hue. The darker colored mottle and squiggles were likely oversprayed with RLM 70, RLM 71, or an unknown mixed paint of grey or green hue."

Sounds very ambiguous and your best guess likely to apply here.

If your not too worried about historical accuracy I'd go with Kageros asumptions and choose which scheme looks the coolest in Mark's above post and know you'll have something unique in the display cabinet.
