After building a large series of aircraft in 1./48 scale decided to switch to 1/32 scale.

Mostly Hasegawa kits - bult

their Spitfire, Tony and BF-109G. All are terrific .

just started

Hasegawa | F6F3/5 Hellcat

he states it looks big but is to scale.

Well I checked it  10.2M 1/1 converted to mm  1/32 scale and I got 318 mm wingspan.

I just measured the kit wingspan..it is over 400mm!!

the Pilot figure is huge...

Love to hear someone feed back on this.

Very annoyed with this out of scale kit.

Funny you should bring this up..When we built the kit quite a number of years ago thought it was it was a bit too big for 1/32 as well..but I did like how it was rendered (shape of it).

Could be around 1/30, 1/29 th.   But it was released back in the 70's so.......

And you're right..the pilot is hilarious.  just checked my kit in the stash.

You have confused fuselage length 10.24 meters with wingspan 13.06 meters.

Thanks Guys -   appreciated all responses -  I hang all my airplanes ..with gear up.....and it is the over all appearance of the "squadron" if you will that I aim for.  This Hellcat is  so far out of scale....just cannot add it in.   I agree..no big deal..but...when stacking them next to each other..it is a BIG DEAL.

Will try and attach some photos..but

hey again..thanks for the chit chat....

Just as a reminder: someone down the line joined up Trump's wings with Hasegawa's fuselage, and it apparently was a good fit...............

Indeed, I've got both kits and intend to do exactly that. But I'm still holding out Tamiya or someone similar will grace us with a new tool F6F.
