Daniel460
Forgive if this has been posted before. I do a lot of metal detecting and watch too many videos on Youtube on the subject. I like watching the videos by the folks that can search some of the WWII areas. I caught this one last night and its pretty interesting to see what looks like an untouched crash site. What really amazed me was the crankshaft out of one of the engines that is bare of any rods or pistons. It must have taken one heck of a hit in that engine. You can see the other engine in the video is pretty much intact. It is in Russian but I believe it speaks for itself.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukDTD4-ajxM Dan Edited December 12, 2018 by Daniel460 Trak-Tor, Anthony in NZ, Isar 30/07 and 2 others
Shawn M
this fascinates me, how many other wrecks, relics and treasures are lurking in the woods over there under a blanket of moss! Daniel460
PhilB
There's quite a few vids on YouTube of these Russian blokes pulling rifles, ammo and all sorts of things out of the bogs. The rifles look pretty pristine in many cases so it could be the very low oxygen content in the bogs that preserves things. Trak-Tor
Nice one... Those guys were a bit disappointed when they found out it was German, not Russian aircraft... And then they couldn't find the tail part with swastika on it... Thanks for the link. Juraj Out2gtcha and Daniel460

AlanG
I remember seeing a vid like this a few years ago when a Russian team pulled a T34 out of a bog and found it had German painted symbols on it. I'll try to find it again
