Me 110 dayfighter using Revell G4

Hi all,

 

Can I turn the old Revell G4 nightfighter kit into a  G2 dayfighter by just not using the radar and exhaust covers ?

 

Or was the nose different  too ?

 

I'm not that fussy about small details.

 

Would like to build it as a Russian front fighter.

short answer yes

long answer, depends on which airframe.

Rudder trim tabs could be different as well as the upper nose cowl. weapons as you pointed out.

Without intending to hijack, is it possible to make a "proper" night-fighter out of the Dragon C-7? 

It's being repopped by Revell at an accessible price next Spring, presumably sans etch and avec new decals.

I recommend going over to the Vendors section on this site and reviewing the thread(s) about Pastor John's Bf-110-G2/4 conversion set.  The conversion sets are for the Dragon kits but there is discussion about the differences you are asking about.
