MENG Cute Sherman Firefly

Ok, this one has been on my bench for a little bit. Mostly as a distraction from doing individual link tracks on a Tasca Firefly.

I ended up getting a little more involved than I had planned. So the bogies were swiped from a scraped AFV Club M10, and the idlers and drive sprockets were leftover Tasca ones.

And the tracks were individual link tracks from AFV Club. So much for a distraction.

I think it rides slightly higher now.

Compared to the Tasca Firefly:

Hopefully it'll be done later this week after I'm back home

It’s so “squishy” and “small” looking it’s cute! :D

They are neat little kits Carl.  Great job so far, looking forward to the finish.

Thanks Michael! I think I'm going to have to pick some up for my boys.

wow, nice work on the kitbash, goes a looooong way to sharpen it up

Thanks Shawn! The bogies were the big one for me. When I saw how close they were to 1/35, I figured I might as well do the swap.

I like the additions, those tracks are super.  I'm interested to see what else you change/improve.  Are you going to do a little base too?

I haven't decided if I'm going to do a base or not. The only other changes I did were to sharpen the Cullins hedgerow cutter blades and add the applique armour to the turret side. You can see both in this pic.
