Rick K
FuG220 installation almost complete. This was fabricated via reverse engineering and 3D Print Technology. Using 1940's construction method. I did a walk around today and will post more images later. That's "Flak Bait" in the background. Troy Molitor
73 years later we finally get the full picture. Is there any mention of when they might match up the airframe with the wing and nacelle Group? Nice to see the U-Hazy center pulling this off. Thanks for sharing this Rick. LSP_Ron
Any insight on why this restoration is taking sooo long? funding? research? lack of resources? I've had a monthly sub to Fly Past for years but this resto doen't come up much. Just curious. Ron

alaninaustria
I was last there at the Udvar-Hazy Center in May - and the fuselage was still in the public display section with the nose cap off... glad to see this bird finally coming together!! Thanks for sharing Rick! Cheers Alan
Troy Molitor
Did anyone notice the attachment points for the diagonal poles don’t actually go through the Fug220 sections that run horizontally? They are mounted off to the side. I haven’t seen that on any brass aftermarket sets currently available. Hmmmmm. D Bellis

Not sure about all aftermarket, but Master's FuG220's has the poles attached to the sides as shown.
