I was told, (know someone who is well acquainted with the French F-100) that from and on the refuelling probe in Djibouti were grown to the Hun.

I painted destruction the back area with silver, then applied the camouflage.
After that, the camouflage was removed with steel wool except for the silver and then worked up with Tamiya weathering master.

Very nice F-100! Really like the worn/faded camouflage and the hot section of the tail.  I I got my F-100 out...ordered the Zacto nose replacement...had the external tank extensions and seat from AMS and the Cutting Edge decals for "Pretty Penny" from the 481st TFW. I really liked that era of the USAF and Tactical Air Command.
