Skjohn98
I am building a Revell FW190 F8, This is the first time I have used a PE set for the instrument panel, the question is there are 2 pieces of PE the back one has the instrument detail and the outer piece is the outside of the panel, when I glue the top piece on how can I get a glass look for the instruments? I was thinking of using a drop of future, any othe way to do it? TIA John
LSP_Ray
Welcome to the forums John! You can use Future, you can also sandwich a thin piece of clear acetate between the PE, just have to be careful gluing them together to not mess up the instruments. An acrylic super glue works good, like Gator Glue. You can also use Future to glue them together. Good luck! CATCplSlade
Skjohn98
Thank Ray, I have the gator glue, I’am sort of testing the glue to see what it looks like when it’s dry. i was figuring on using the future and I never thought about using that as the glue thanks again John
modelingbob
Future does work very nicely for what you want to do.
CANicoll
Formula 560 not only dries clear, but also a little more rounded like actual glass. Future flattens out to the features of the dial and that is not always the look you want. 560 looks like this: Good luck!
