Wingnut wings is developing three new kits

What if, when Wingnut Wings says it's developing 3 news kits, the two Lancaster kits are considered as variants of a single kit (kit #1), and the two Halberstadt kits are also considered as variants of a single kit (kit #2)? This would mean we've effectively only had announcements regarding two of the kits in development (Lancaster and Halberstadt), with one more to go!

If you read this: http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/product?productid=3189

It states at the bottom:

Model Features: Halberstadt Cl.II escort fighter and ground support aircraft.

I'll leave that to you gents to go wild with that one.

Ah ok, so 32049 is already known as one of the Halbs, so 32062 could still be a new mystery reveal since 32043 is presumably the Lancaster since 32044 is the Dambuster.

We have known about the Halberstadt for a long time.  That's kit # 32049.

Then recently they did this "3 new kits will be unveiled in Tokyo" announcement.  Those are 32043, 32044, and 32062.

What those 3 kits are still doesn't seem totally clear.

It looks like they are Lancaster 1, Lancaster 2, and Halberstadt Cl.II Part 2.

Counting a derivative of the Halberstadt as an "all new kit announcement" is kind of lame, but I think  that is what they are doing.

So then, the "3 new kits in Tokyo" turn out to be none, as far as I'm concerned!

I.E., no new WWI subjects!  2 Lancasters and a Halberstadt iteration that we've known about for a long time.

Nothing new here for the WWI aviation enthusiast, unfortunately.

It's possible they are NOT counting the 2nd Halberstadt as one of the new kits.  Maybe they'll make the announcement at the end of the show?  I don't know, they don't seem to be very good at promotion so I think this is it.

I looked at WNW’s site, I agree when you review the announcements that the Halberstadt early was the already announced kit, two Lancaster’s and a Late Halberstadt equaling the three new kit announcements.

I did not know the Halberstadt existed before WNW announced it but I read their notes and looked at the markings, it has some really nice marking options and is quite an attractive plane.  I may get one myself.

Other than academic interest, and watching what others do with it, I don’t see myself building a Lancaster.  Just too big of a kit.  If the wings are removable maybe it is something to build and take to Hobby Shows but otherwise I am not quite sure what to do with one.
