I'm keen on the 'multi-engine' theme... I have a 1/32nd Sunderland waiting patiently in the stash and have been looking for an excuse to start it :)

I'd be curious to know the height between keel and top of the horizontal stabilizer.

It would be massive.

I'm also thinking that this might warrant a 12-month time frame, given the larger and more complex nature of most of the eligible kits.

Kev

A year is a long time.If this will be the next GB.

But...that gives me more time to find the "golden olden" Revell kits at conventions.

I've done the Beaufighter and Mosquito.

I have the P-38 Droop Snoot .

So what's left : Me 262 day and nightfighter ,Me 110 day and nightfighter,P-38 fighter.

Hi!

Love the theme! :clap2:

A year is a proper timespan for such a large build!

Hmm, Tamiya Mossie, KH Bronco, Revell He111/88....  it will be hard to choose!

Cheers!

Stefan :)

I just noticed there is a mistake in the GB; In the Pale Moonlight doesn't end until November 31st. It was a 6 month GB, with the option for another month should some people be close to finishing.

If everyone is still keen for Multi Engined GB come November time I have no objection to it, however perhaps consider the time frame. I noticed  a lot of 12 month GB's tend to die on the vine. If enthusiasm dies a little, I can always put it up as an option in a poll.

Hi,

I've always known for GB's to be as broad as possible so every type of builder can join without excluiding anyone.

The "multi-engine" theme doesn't allow any single-engined kit to be build. That's a HUGE amount.

IMO it's a coherent theme.

But...I only "proposed" the theme with the above in mind. It's not my call to go with this in the next GB.

Other members might also have great themes in mind that they can propose.

There is the second GB that is run too, so there will be options available.

This theme would be perfect for me. I am determined to get back to the LSP bench after being on hiatus for.....too long. Also, I built a large display case with twins/multis in mind, but only have put one in it so far (Bf 110D that I built at the same time as the cabinet).  My current inventory is three Ju 88 kits, 2x 388 conversions, a 188 conversion and a Me 262. I think I already know it will be and a year might be helpful. :D

That is such good news Brad, I stand a much greater chance of finishing my Bf110G4 by the end of November! Glad you spotted that. :)

So, it looks like we can lock this one in. Not only that, but Neil at HK Models has agreed to come on board as a sponsor for this Group Build, and will be offering the prize of a Lancaster kit to the builder of whichever finished entry he likes the most. That should be some incentive for you!
