John1 Posted May 5, 2019 Author Share Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) Question - if an F-51 had the wing putty removed (assume this was done at a depot), would it be likely that it would also have a black painted cockpit? Also, in the pic of Little Beast, above, looks like the tail wheel is locked down. Anyone have details of this mod? Is that a canvas boot? Did they cut out the gear doors and then lock them closed? I was curious about what color the was entire compartment aft of the pilot's armor was (ie - the area around the fuel tank and radios).
