sandbagger
Hi all, Thanks. John1: The springs were made by wrapping annealed 0.2 mm diameter copper wire around short lengths of 0.6 mm micro-tube (Albion Alloys MBT06). The springs were secured to the tubes using thin CA adhesive. Then the exposed ends of the rods were secured into 0.6 mm holes drilled into the cylinder head recesses. dora9
Oh oh! Now we're getting serious! Just love it and taking good notes for mine! Did you used Aviattic decals for the wings? Look nice, I am doing a D-VII with those. Cheers Edited September 29, 2018 by dora9

sandbagger
Thanks all, Dora9: Yes I used both lozenge and CDL for this model. ‘Aviattic’ Bleached Clear Doped Linen (ATT32044), ‘Aviattic’ German Naval Hex (faded) (ATT32113). I used the kit parts to trace the outlines then cut the Aviattic sheets as required. With the Lozenge you need to make sure the pattern is correctly orientated. It doesn't all run in the same direction. I've detailed this in my PDF build log, which I'll post up on my site along with the models shots, once it's completed.
